Restaurativer Zahnarzt und Biomaterialforscher mit Spezialisierung auf ästhetische Zahnmedizin und direkte Kompositrestaurationen. Assistant Professor im Department of Biomaterials and Biomimetics mit Zweitberufung im Department of Cariology am New York University College of Dentistry.

Über 30 Jahre klinische und akademische Erfahrung in ästhetischer restaurativer Zahnmedizin. Forschungsschwerpunkt auf dentalen Biomaterialien einschließlich Kompositharzen, Adhäsivsystemen und Implantatmaterialien. Entwickelte vereinfachte Schichttechniken für vorhersagbare ästhetische Kompositrestaurationen unter Verwendung universeller Kompositsysteme. Pionier in der Förderung injizierbarer fließfähiger Komposite und Körper-Schmelz-Technik für anteriore Restaurationen. Unterhält Privatpraxis in Curitiba, Brasilien, ausschließlich der ästhetischen Zahnmedizin gewidmet.

Internationaler Referent, der in über 40 Ländern zu ästhetischen Restaurationen, Komposittechniken und Biomaterialauswahl unterrichtet hat. Koordinator mehrerer postgradualer Programme in ästhetischer und restaurativer Zahnmedizin in Brasilien einschließlich Programme bei CETAO (São Paulo), SENAC (São Paulo) und ILAPEO (Lateinamerikanisches Institut). Ehemaliges Fakultätsmitglied an der Federal University of Paraná für 10 Jahre. Veröffentlichte über 100 wissenschaftliche Artikel in Englisch, Portugiesisch und Spanisch.

Autor von Lehrbüchern "TIPS in Esthetic Dentistry" (Artes Medicas, 2011) und "SHORTCUTS in Esthetic Dentistry" (Quintessence, 2017), beide in drei Sprachen übersetzt. Koautor von "Just" (Quintessence, 2022). Autor von über 10 Buchkapiteln. Mitglied des Editorial Board von Journal of the Brazilian Society of Aesthetic Dentistry und International Journal of Brazilian Dentistry.

Dr. Marco Maiolino, graduated in Perugia’s University in 2001 with highest honors (110/110 cum laude),he is active member of SIDOC ( italian society of restorative dentistry) , ), followed a lot of perfection courses in particular in the field of endodontic, restorative and periodontics topics. He started to work with the aid of a surgical microscope from 2006. Founder together with dr. Pasquale Venuti of the “tomorrow tooth “ group for dental education with the aim to move dentistry toward a patient centered outcome. He works in a private practice at Siracusa , Italy as a general dentistry practicing all branches of dentistry.

Dr. Marco Maiolino is a general dentist practicing all branches of dentistry. He works in a private practice in Syracuse , Italy. He is the founder together with dr. Pasquale Venuti of the “Tomorrow Tooth “ group, a web based dental community whose aim is to change the focus in dentistry to a more sustainable practice and more patient oriented dentistry. He lectures nationally and internationally on topics related to restorative and prosthetic dentistry. He also write articles about dentistry life . User of magnification system from the beginning and microscope user from 2006. He graduated in 2001 with highest honors in Perugia university (110/100 cum laude).

Master of Science Degree in Prosthodontics.

President of the Brazilian Society of Aesthetic Dentistry. Board member of the Academy of Microscope Enhanced Dentistry (AMED), USA from 2008 – 2012.

Has lectured internationally about Esthetic Dentistry. Maintains a private practice since 1983, and has focused on microscope enhanced dentistry since 1998.
