During this 18-hour course, participants will learn how to create the optimal implant restoration on single implants, multiple implants, and All-on-X cases.  Digital and analogue workflows will be covered, abutment design, cemented vs screw retained crown indications, impressioning with scan bodies and open and closed tray techniques, immediate provisionalization using both chairside and digital pre-designed methods will be practiced.

– What material should be used in the anterior and posterior
– Screw vs Cement-retained – when, where, and how?
– Using provisional restorations to predict results
– Impression techniques to minimize problems
– Open tray vs. closed tray impression technique
– Scan bodies and digital workflow
– Fixture vs abutment level impressions
– Bite registrations for distal extension cases
– Troubleshooting minimal inter-occlusal space issues
– Delivering abutments
– Using torque wrenches
– Delivering screw and cement-retained restorations
– Identifying unknown implants and ordering the correct parts
– Rescuing implants
– Implant-retained fixed dental prostheses
– Filling the access hole with an invisible restoration
– Implant occlusion – what MUST you know
– Adjustment and polishing
– Making an esthetic prototype in your office
– Esthetic (gingival contour preserving) impression techniques
– Managing the loose implant crown
– The hemi-engaging abutment bridge.


Learning Objectives:

 

– How to select the ideal abutment for each situation
– Understand the importance of connection design and restoration stability
– Be able to fabricate a temporary crown for an immediate implant
– Know the steps for capturing both simple and multiple implant impressions with both closed and open tray impression copings
– Know which crown materials to use in different situations
– Learn the critical steps required for screw and cement-retained crown delivery
– Be able to demonstrate the techniques for locator conversion.

Dozenten 2

DDS. Dr. Yadav is a graduate of Manipal University, India and completed the rigorous 2-year Advanced Clinical Training Program at UCLA under under Dr. Stevenson in 2017. He is an expert in dental photography and is the chief faculty of the waxing courses held at SDS. He has been teaching courses alongside Dr. Stevenson for two years at UOP Dental School, and at the SDS Learning Center. He was voted as the best tutor by students last year and has a calm and down to earth teaching style. His clinical interests include advanced prosthodontics, esthetic dentistry and cast and direct gold restorations. He has been invited to lecture in India and continues to provide invaluable assistance with CAAPID applications and consultations via our Application Coach service. He practices general dentistry in Porterville, CA and teaches at SDS on the weekends and evenings.
 
DDS. Dr. Stevenson is a general dentist specializing in occlusion, esthetics, and gold restorations. He is widely regarded as the dentist’s dentist. Dr. Stevenson is the inventor of several dental instruments which benefit dental students and practitioners in their quest for excellence. Dr. Stevenson is also a talented and inspiring dental educator who mentors and teaches dentists worldwide through study clubs, publications, lectures, CE courses, and YouTube. As a result of his passion for providing excellent oral health care to the masses, he founded Stevenson Dental Foundation(SDF) to address oral health disparities. SDF’s approach comprises three programs: community outreach, dental career education, and research on improving oral health delivery.
