Professor für Implantologie an der Medizinischen Fakultät, Albert-Ludwigs Universität, Freiburg, Deutschland (seit 2002). Mitbegründer (mit Dr. Otto Zuhr) der Hürzeler/Zuhr Academy, einem international renommierten Bildungszentrum für Parodontologie und Implantattherapie. Ehemaliger Präsident der European Academy of Esthetic Dentistry (EAED). Unterhält Privatpraxis in München, Deutschland, zusammen mit Dr. Otto Zuhr, mit auf Parodontologie und Implantatzahnmedizin beschränkter Praxis.

Über 42 Jahre kombinierte klinische, Lehr- und Forschungserfahrung seit Erhalt seines Abschlusses im Jahr 1984. Weltweit anerkannter Experte für regenerative parodontale und peri-implantäre Chirurgie, Weichgewebetransplantation, plastische parodontale Chirurgie und ästhetische Implantatzahnmedizin. Pionier bei der Entwicklung minimalinvasiver Ansätze zur parodontalen Regeneration, Tunneltechniken für Weichgewebeaugmentation und innovativer Protokolle für ästhetische Implantatstellenentwicklung. Forschungsschwerpunkte auf Weichgewebetransplantationsmaterialien und -techniken, minimalinvasive parodontale Regeneration, plastische parodontale Chirurgie und Langzeitergebnisse ästhetischer Implantattherapie.

Autor zahlreicher wissenschaftlicher Publikationen in führenden parodontalen und Implantat-Zeitschriften. Mitautor einflussreicher Lehrbücher über plastische parodontale Chirurgie und Implantatzahnmedizin übersetzt in mehrere Sprachen. Internationaler Dozent mit ausgedehnten Präsentationen in ganz Europa, Amerika, Asien und weltweit über Themen einschließlich plastischer parodontaler Chirurgie, Weichgewebetransplantationstechniken um Zähne und Implantate, minimalinvasive Regenerationsansätze und ästhetische Implantattherapie. Schöpfer der Hürzeler/Zuhr Master Classes, einer Serie von acht umfassenden Kursen in Parodontologie und Implantattherapie beaufsichtigt von beiden Ausbildern, betrachtet als eines der prestigeträchtigsten fortgeschrittenen Trainingsprogramme weltweit. Unterhält Privatpraxis in München mit Dr. Otto Zuhr seit Umzug aus der Schweiz.

Spezialist für Prothetik und restaurative Zahnmedizin mit Schwerpunkt auf Zahnpräparationstechniken, Keramikrestaurationen und minimalinvasiver ästhetischer Rehabilitation. Führt Privatpraxis in Takasago City, Hyogo, Japan, wo er komplexe ästhetische und funktionelle Fälle behandelt, die präzise Zahnpräparation und fortgeschrittene Keramik erfordern.

Über 20 Jahre klinische Erfahrung in festsitzender Prothetik mit Betonung der Bedeutung ordnungsgemäßer Zahnpräparation als Grundlage für langfristigen prothetischen Erfolg. Bekannt für systematischen Ansatz zur Abutmentformung und Präparationsdesign, das ästhetische Ergebnisse optimiert und gleichzeitig Zahnsubstanz erhält.

Internationaler Dozent mit Präsentationen in Asien, Europa und Nordamerika über Zahnpräparationstechniken für Kronen, Veneers, Overlays und implantatgetragene Restaurationen. Aktives Mitglied der Bio-Emulation-Gruppe, die biomimetische Ansätze in der restaurativen Zahnmedizin fördert. Mitglied der Society of Japan Clinical Dentistry. Regelmäßiger Referent auf großen Dentalkongressen einschließlich Dental World in Budapest und ästhetischen Zahnmedizinkonferenzen in Japan.

DDS, PhD. Autor von "The Tooth Preparation" (Quintessence Publishing), umfassender klinischer Leitfaden zur Abutmentformung für prothetische restaurative Behandlungen, der grundlegende Prinzipien, spezifische Techniken und praktische Anwendungen abdeckt. Das Buch wurde ins Koreanische und andere Sprachen übersetzt.
