Klinischer Direktor, Instituto Português da Face (IPFace), Lissabon — Portugals führendes Referenzzentrum für TMJ-Pathologie und -Behandlung. Professor und Direktor des Postgraduiertenkurses in offener Chirurgie und Arthroskopie des Kiefergelenks, Medizinische Fakultät, Universität Lissabon. Professor, Zahnmedizinische Fakultät, Universität Lissabon.
Pionier in der Entwicklung und klinischen Implementierung minimal-invasiver und regenerativer TMJ-Chirurgietechniken in Portugal — einschließlich Arthrozentese mit Super-PRP (regenerative Zellen + Hyaluronsäure), TMJ-Arthroskopie, offener TMJ-Chirurgie und alloplastischem Totalgelenkersatz. Entwickler eines integrierten 360°-klinischen Protokolls, das diagnostische Bildgebung (3D-CBCT), konservative Behandlung, Botulinumtoxin-Injektion, Arthrozentese, Arthroskopie, offene Gelenkchirurgie und postoperative physiotherapeutische Rehabilitation umfasst. Forscher in der TMJ-Scheibenregeneration mit Biomaterialien und intelligenter regenerativer Medizin. Autor von Dutzenden Peer-Review-Publikationen als Erstautor in führenden Fachzeitschriften. Erster Sekretär, Orden der Portugiesischen Zahnärzte (2016–2019).
Empfänger von mehr als 11 nationalen und internationalen Forschungspreisen, darunter der renommierte Grunenthal Foundation Young Researcher Award in Pain (2015). Hauptprüfer der präklinischen TEMPOJIMS-Studie. Internationaler Referent zu TMJ-Diagnose, minimal-invasiven Verfahren und offener Chirurgie.
MD (Stomatologie), Assistenzzeit am Hospital Universitário de Santa Maria, Lissabon (Abschlussnote: 19,6/20, 2012–2016). PhD-Kandidat, Medizinische Fakultät, Universität Lissabon (Forschung in TMJ-regenerativer Medizin und Biomaterialien).
