Programm
The seminar is dedicated to modern concepts of skeletal anchorage and its integration into the digital orthodontic workflow. Participants will learn how mini-implants (TADs) provide reliable anchorage control, expand clinical possibilities, and deliver predictable treatment outcomes.
The lecturer — Benedict Wilmes — is a leading authority who has significantly shaped contemporary Western orthodontics.
Key Topics:
— Optimal insertion sites for mini-implants (TADs)
— Skeletal anchorage and anchorage control
— Combination of mini-implants and aligners
— Molar mesialization, distalization, intrusion, and en-masse retraction
— Alignment of impacted teeth
— Virtual planning and digital workflows.
This course establishes a modern perspective on skeletal anchorage as a powerful control system that enhances the orthodontist’s capabilities and increases treatment predictability.
IMPORTANT: the “Seminar. Standard”, “Seminar. VIP” and “Hands-on workshop” participation options are also available for purchase.
Advantages of the “Seminar. Comfort” participation option:
– Participation in the scientific program
– Coffee break
– Notes and handouts
– Certificate of participation
– ADA credits available upon request
– Lunch
– Priority seats in the venue.
Program
Theoretical Part:
– Optimal insertion sites for mini-implants: anterior palate and mental region vs. alveolar process
– Skeletal anchorage as a strategy to prevent anchorage loss and minimize the side effects of intermaxillary elastics
– Integration of digital technologies: virtual planning, surgical guides, CAD/CAM, and 3D printing
– Combination of mini-implants and aligners for predictable bodily tooth movement
– Rationale for the use of mini-implants (TADs) in orthodontic practice
– CAD/CAM versus conventional workflow
– Mini-implants with abutments
– Upper molar distalization
– Upper molar mesialization
– En-masse retraction
– Rapid palatal expansion and early Class III treatment
– Molar uprighting
– Molar intrusion
– Alignment of impacted teeth
– Temporary pontics using mini-implants (TADs).
