Beschreibung
An interdisciplinary team approach is becoming the gold standard in dentistry. The complexity of clinical decisions requires treatment planning options with the participation of several specialists.
On this course you will learn:
– strategies to facilitate orthodontic teeth movement and improve the condition of periodontal tissues
– stages of orthodontic treatment and the sequence of treatment of periodontal tissues in full synergy with dentists of other specialties - periodontologists, prosthodontists, and surgeons
– techniques of periodontal regenerative procedures in combination with orthodontic treatment
– mucogingival reconstructive therapy in an adult patients.
You will also analyze clinical examples of orthodontic rehabilitation of patients with various forms of generalized periodontitis.
Lektion 1.Borderline cases: diagnosis and ortho-perio therapeutic protocols

– In detail the orthodontic phases and periodontal therapeutic sequences in complete synergy
– Clinical strategies to facilitate orthodontic movement and improve mucogingival problems.

– Orthodontic treatment of adult patients: limitations, risks and patient`s expectation

- preserve periodontal tissue health.
– Periodontal surgical techniques selected based on different orthodontic and periodontal diagnosis and goals

– Orthodontics with skeletal anchorage and Periodontal Surgical protocols
– Anchorage selection for optimum case management without patient compliance
– Tutorial videos of some surgical procedures and Guided Mini Screws insertion.

– Determination of premature occlusal interference with the extended technique of deprogramming of the masticatory system and the use of splint therapy
– Pre-orthodontic preparation in patients with periodontal disease

– Biomechanics in the treatment of periodontal patients.

– Planning of ortho-perio treatment
– Protocols will be shown with the demonstration of resolution of several clinical cases of patients severely compromised by Periodontal Desease and Malocclusion, saving the natural dentition.

Associate Professor of Dentistry and Periodontology at the Department of Biomedical, Surgical and Dental Sciences, University of Milan, Milan, Italy.
Adjunct Clinical Associate Professor at the Department of Periodontics and Oral Medicine at the School of Dentistry, University of Michigan MI USA.
Dr.Rasperini received his D.D.S. from the University of Pavia in 1990, his certificate of specialist in Orthodontics from the University of Milan in 1997, his certificate as Active Member of the Italian Society of Periodontology and Implantology (SIdP) in 1997. He later received his certificate as Active Member of the European Academy of Esthetic Dentistry (EAED) in 2009 and he became Full Member of the British Academy of Aesthetic Dentistry in 2016
Dr. Rasperini is member of the Editorial Board of the International Journal of Periodontics & Restorative Dentistry and is ad hoc reviewer in the editorial boards of multiple journals.
He has published and lectured extensively in the fields of Periodontology and Implantology, Regenerative Medicine, Surgical techniques for periodontal and peri-implant reconstruction.
Winner of Awards for research with his co-workes: International Quintessence Publishing Award (Boston 2000 - 2004), Goldman Prize (SIdP 1996 - 2010 - 2017), Clinical Research Award (EAO 2010), Earl Robinson Periodontal Regeneration Award (AAP 2012), Align Research Award (2013).
In 2017, he founded the iPerio Education Center in Piacenza, Italy, with Dr. Giorgio Pagni and Dr. Raffaele Acunzo, were they teach their philosophy of treatment and concepts of the modern dentistry.

Professor for the Periodontology Course at Ferrara University from 1986 to 2000.
Teaching Professor on European Master Degree in Periodontology at Dental School University of Torino. Teaching Professor on Master Degree in Oral Surgery and Patology in Parma University, focusing on GBR topics.
Director of International Master program in Periodontology at Istituto Stomatologico Toscano (Unicamillus University Roma)
Private practice limited to Periodontology and Implantology in Ferrara (Italy).
