He is a Adjunct Professor and tutor at the San Raffaele University of Milan. He is a Scientific Advisor to the Dental Clinic at the Department of IRCCS San Raffaele in Milan (Dean Prof. E. Gherlone).
He works in Milan and Isernia, where he practices Implantoprotesis and Oral Surgery.
Author of many publications, Speaker in National and International Congresses on Implantology and Oral Surgery.
Member of the San Raffaele Implant Cultural Association, SIMO (Società Italiana Maxillo Odontostomatologica) and member of IAO (Italian Academy of Osseointegration). Member of International Extraction Academy of California.
PHD in oral implantology in the Faculty of Dentistry, Tirana University.
Inventor of the “Sticky Tooth” grafting material, Co-inventor of the Baruti-Demiraqi approach, a PAOO enhancement technique with hard and soft tissue grafting protocol.

Professor of the Universitat Internacional de Catalunya (Spain) in the Department of Restorative dentistry since 2008. Director of the Master of Endodontics of the ¨Universitat International of Catalunya¨, from 2017 to the present.
Reviewer for the International Endodontic Journal, Clinical Oral Investigations, Journal of Prosthodontics, Quintessence International, Journal of Clinical and Experimental Dentistry, and BMC Oral Health. Dr. Abella is also an active member of the Spanish Association of Endodontics (AEDE), of the Spanish Society of Estomatological and Aesthetic Prosthesis (SEPES) and currently secretary of the Spanish Society of Conservative Dentistry (SEOC).
DDS and Endodontist graduated from Universidad CES in Medellin, Colombia.
Cofounder of the graduated endodontic program in Universidad de Antioquia in Medellín, Colombia, where she is a Titular Professor.
Former president of the Colombian Association of Endodontists.
Member of Colombian Association of Endodontics.
She has authored scientific articles in peer-reviewed journals and has her private practice limited to Endodontics and Endodontic Microsurgery in Medellín, Colombia.
