During the training, you will hear lectures from outstanding Japanese specialists who are rightfully considered masters of their profession: Sadao Sato, Kazumi Ikeda, Satoshi Aoki, Shimpei Sonoda, Taiichi Maekawa!
You will study working protocols within the Roth, occlusal plane, and functionally discluded occlusion concepts.
The following topics will be covered during the training:
– Functional TMJ and harmonious orthodontic treatment
– Orthodontic treatment of patients with malocclusion and TMJ dysfunction
– Occlusal reconstruction with consideration of jaw function: controlling mandibular position, occlusal plane, and occlusal vertical dimension
– Occlusal adjustment techniques based on functionally discluded occlusion
– Digital protocol for sequential occlusion.
Lektion 1.Functional TMJ and harmonious orthodontic treatment
– Harmonize the bite and TMJ = stable results
– How do we diagnose the state of the TMJ? History, chairside examination, mount model, imaging (MRI and CBCT)
– Tha stability of the jaw position. What does this stability of the jaw position mean in clinical practice?
– How does the state obtained by stabilizing the jaw position change compared to before? We compare it with MRI, CBCT, and mandibular movement records
– Treating patients with disc displacement (DD)
– The effect of jaw position stabilization on mandibular growth.
Lektion 2.Occlusal adjustment techniques based on functionally discluded occlusion
– Understanding the stability of occlusion
– Learning about physiological occlusion
– Studying the examination and diagnosis of occlusal disharmony
– Learning the procedures for occlusal adjustment in cases of disharmony
– Understanding the concept of “Area of Centric”
– Learning about trim-off adjustment and add-on adjustment
– Understanding the importance of immediate disclusion in restorative teeth.
Lektion 3.Orthodontic treatment of patients with malocclusion and TMJ dysfunction
– The relationship between occlusal development and maxillofacial development
– Mandibular deviation and temporomandibular disorders
– Protection of the TMJ by occlusion
– The relationship of inclination of the occlusal plane and occlusal support
– Efficacy of orthodontic occlusal construction in the treatment of TMJ disorders.
