Lektion 1.Introduction to the Bimler Method.
General remarks: “Stomatopedics, a different approach”
Because the Bimler Appliance has no anchorage = maximum safety, no iatrogenic damage. Replacement of anchorage by the design. Neuromuscular body feedback = individual treatment.
Activation by only 2 pliers.
Three dimensional adaption = 1 appliance per treatment.
Same procedure in adults like in children.
Night time wear only.
No overtreatment = no relapse.
No construction bite necessary.
3 types of appliances according to incisors inclination:
Protruded – retruded – cross bite.
Step-by- step adaptation to progress and growth.
Simultaneous sagittal, transversal and vertical correction, and single tooth movements.
Lektion 2.Construction.
The most effective way for the participants is, to use a plaster model of their own teeth to make an appliance: Nothing can teach as much as own experience. Then they can put it in their own mouth, they can activate it and try out on themselves whatever they want to know.
This is not to correct their crocked teeth but for learning so everybody can do it.
