Mitglied des Scandinavian Center for Orofacial Neurosciences (SCON).
Seine Forschung umfasst das gesamte Spektrum orofazialer Schmerzen und der zahnmedizinischen Schlafmedizin: temporomandibuläre Störungen, Bruxismus, experimentelle Muskel-Schmerzmodelle, Schlafapnoe und obere Atemwegsfunktion sowie psychophysische Schmerzmechanismen. Ehemaliger PostDoc am Karolinska Institutet, Stockholm (2009 — experimentelle kraniofaziale Schmerzmodelle mit saurer Kochsalzlösung) und an der Aalborg University (2008 — experimentelle myofasziale glutamatinduzierte Schmerzinjektionen). Internationaler Mitarbeiter an Konsensusleitlinien zur EMG-Diagnostik des Schlafbruxismus, an der Leitlinienentwicklung für die DC/TMD-Klassifikation und an Ausbildungsstandards der dentalen Schlafmedizin. Koordinator der internationalen Austauschprogramme der Aarhus University für Zahnmedizinstudierende und Mitwirkender an der digitalen Transformation des Fachbereichs.
Autor peer-reviewter Publikationen zu orofazialem Schmerz, Bruxismus und schlafbezogenen Atmungsstörungen. DDS. PhD in Medicine, Aarhus University. MSc in Public Health.
