Vor ihrer Berufung nach Wien 2014 war sie wissenschaftliche Mitarbeiterin und später Oberärztin an der Abteilung für Kinderzahnheilkunde der University of Halle-Wittenberg.
Generalsekretärin der German Society for Paediatric Dentistry, DGKiZ, von 2008 bis 2019. Präsidentin der German Society for Paediatric Dentistry seit 2019. Präsidentin der Austrian Society for Paediatric Dentistry seit November 2025 und damit die erste Person, die beide Gesellschaften gleichzeitig führt. Vizepräsidentin der Austrian Society for Paediatric Dentistry von 2017 bis 2025. Councillor for Austria in der European Academy of Paediatric Dentistry, EAPD, und der International Association of Paediatric Dentistry, IAPD. Internationale Referentin und Forscherin in Kinderzahnheilkunde, MIH, Zahnarztangst und Kariesprävention.
