Окончила Университет Амстердама в 1979 году. 

Работала на кафедре кариесологии, эндодонтии и пародонтологии.

Являлась клиническим инструктором в центральной стоматологической клинике Университета Амстердам. 

В 1998 году она поступила в аспирантуру по эндодонтии, которую она закончила в 2001 году со степенью магистра наук.

Является популярным докладчиком на стоматологических и эндодонтических конференциях.

Провела более 200 презентаций и практических курсов в более чем 30 странах мира. 

Автор многочисленных статей, опубликованных в национальных и международных журналах.

С 1980 года владеет частной практикой в Пурмеренде, которая в течение последних двадцати лет посвящена эндодонтии.
