Über 25 Jahre klinische und Forschungserfahrung in CMD-Diagnostik und -Behandlung. Zuvor als Assistenzprofessor und Koordinator von Forschungsprojekten an der CMD-Klinik, Abteilung für Kieferchirurgie, Universität Padua (2006-2016) tätig. International anerkannt als eine der führenden Autoritäten in der Bruxismus-Forschung und -Behandlung.
Internationaler Referent, der auf über 50 großen Konferenzen weltweit unterrichtet hat. Herausgeber des Lehrbuchs „Aktuelle Konzepte zu temporomandibulären Störungen (Quintessence Publishing, 2010) mit Beiträgen von 45 weltbekannten Experten.
DDS der Universität Pisa, Italien. PhD in Zahnmedizin von ACTA Amsterdam (2011), Dissertation mit dem Titel „Das Dreieck: Bruxismus, Schmerz und psychosoziale Faktoren" unter der Betreuung von Professor Frank Lobbezoo. Spezialisierung in Kieferorthopädie der Universität Ferrara (2017). Diplomierter des American Board of Orofacial Pain (2021). Autor von über 300 Veröffentlichungen in Medline-indexierten Zeitschriften mit Scopus H-Index von 40. Aktives Mitglied der European Academy of Orofacial Pain and Dysfunction (EAOPD).
