Ordentlicher Professor für Endodontologie an der University of Amsterdam (UvA) und Academic Centre for Dentistry Amsterdam (ACTA), ernannt Februar 2026. Lehrstuhlinhaber des Department of Endodontology an ACTA, wo er Patientenversorgung, Grund- und Aufbaustudium sowie wissenschaftliche Forschung integriert.
Über 20 Jahre spezialisierte klinische Praxis beschränkt auf Endodontie in Amsterdam. Forschungsschwerpunkte sind Behandlungsergebnisse der Wurzelkanaltherapie, innovative Diagnosetechniken und evidenzbasierte klinische Entscheidungsfindung mit Schwerpunkt auf angemessenen Behandlungsindikationen und Vermeidung von Überbehandlung.
Umfangreiche internationale Zusammenarbeit mit Forschern in Europa und darüber hinaus, resultierend in zahlreichen Publikationen in begutachteten wissenschaftlichen Zeitschriften. Autor und Herausgeber mehrerer Lehrbücher über Endodontie. Aktiv als internationaler Dozent und Betreuer mehrerer PhD-Forschungsprojekte.
